    The list is dynamic and updates both for the Alexa Rating and PageRank as well as for new top article directories as they are identified, which replaces relatively lesser quality article directories currently on the list.

    So keep checking back.

Thank you Dele for sharing the nice list, I’ve came across with many listing article directory site but i have found your list much valuable, you need to do some slightly update on them e.g ezinemark its a dofollow one, searchwarp again this site is using many other domain to publish the content so some of them are dofollow and some are nofollow… Its up to you how you organise them. Yea you can add one more articleseen its a pretty good site.

    If you deal regularly with Ezine Articles, it will be clear that they have now tightened their approval process which says they were not maintaining the current standards they now try to maintain. A kick in the ass sometimes propels one to action and brings out the best even where you are already a forerunner. That i think is the case with Ezine Articles.

    The Panda Update has had negative and positive effects on article marketing.

    Positive in the sense that many article directories have had to “sit up” and consequently enhancing quality which indirectly comes back as a benefit to article marketers who have their articles submitted and approved by these re-shaped article directories.

    Hi,

    That is a good question.

    Initially, i was submitting my articles to various article directories through “Submit Your Article.com” At that time, i used their “article leverage” tool which is a superior tool to most article spinners as it had a reasonable human intervention level through which you amended whole sentences, paragraphs etc.
    Of course, that gives the best results.

    At a later stage however, i got bored of altering my already written articles using the “article leverage” tool which took about 30 minutes to accomplish and i stopped “spinning” my articles but submitting the same article to all the article directories, through “Submit Your Article.com”. The article to either Buzzle or Ezine Articles was of course submitted first( as Buzzle would not accept any article already published elsewhere including your blog, while Ezine Articles will still publish if the extent of prior publishing is not extensive and certainly if only published on your blog)) and then submit to others after a few days.
    It is only Buzzle, Ezine Articles, Hub Pages, Squidoo, in that order, that are critical about submitting already used articles.

    Eventually when i quit using “Submit Your Article.com”, i continued on the same line of not “spinning” my articles before submission, more because of the fact that i was bored “spinning” my articles, than for any other reason.

    I reasoned as follows that the consequences could not be very negatve:

    The main objective of spinning is so that you can get as many of your articles as possible, indexed. That will give traffic and backlinks.

    If you have a few indexed overtly due to non-spinning, others not indexed in the main index will still attract backlinks anyway and if you backlink the indexed ones extensively and thus get them highly ranked, they are likely to over perform and provide more traffic than the many others that would have been indexed had you been using the article spinner, since most would not be highly ranked anyway.

    For an objective assessment, all you have to do is look up it’s rankings based on the 2 yardsticks we use on this site i.e. Google PageRank and Alexa Rating.

    The article directory has a Google PageRank of 0 and an Alexa Rating of 62984. With that, it does not qualify to be on this article directories list which implies it is not in the top 165 article directories on the web.

    It naturally will be better and more productive for you to concentrate your efforts on the article directories that will give you the best return for your efforts. This return can come in the form of page views for your articles and backlinks to your site.

    High page views will come directly from article directories with low Alexa rating and worthwile backlinks indirectly from article directories with high pr.

    If you had read through the entire blog post, you would have seen that we operate a transparent policy where no one can be favored as there are rules in place. Part of our “modus operandi” is to welcome information and investigate any such information we receive and if correct, update accordingly.

    The article directories list we maintain is not static. Rather it is dynamic and always tries to reflect new/latest information.

    I have checked and found your article directory worthy to be on the list as at now and it has been so added.

    As at now, there is no credible alternative traffic measuring tool to Alexa and from my experience it does a good job. What most people who complain about it do not seem to understand is that it produces a time-weighted traffic statistic (over 3-6 months) which implies it would not respond materially to current traffic changes. It would take a period of time for current changes(up or down) to have an effect on the traffic figure indicated.

    Be that as it may, a credible traffic measuring tool is crucial for ranking top article directories and some may even say more important than Page Rank. I explained this in the article above and if you go through the article, you will see stated, that one of the main purposes of submitting articles to article directories is to receive direct traffic of the article directories themselves. It is also a high traffic article directory that will have many people re-publishing articles therefrom.

    Let me illustrate. A number of article directories have the same pr 6 as Ezine articles and a few even higher but Ezine articles is more patronized and thus has higher traffic which again makes it to be patronized the more. The cycle then continues.

    In fact about the only significance of page rank is for the article marketer to leverage on this and get indirect traffic via the likely high ranking of his submitted article on the search engines and the backlink from a high pr site. Here again, a high rank to the article marketer’s submitted article itself is just an indirect expectation through link juice, since the marketer’s article will initially be on a pr 0 web page. A major reason for sourcing high pr article directories thus even still significantly indirectly boils down to traffic.

    Having said the above, any pr 0-2 article directory on the 165 top article directories list certainly has direct traffic to compensate as it must fall within the limit of the traffic requirement.

    Apparently, you have not taken time to read earlier comments, otherwise you would have known that your article directory does not qualify to be on this list. Your article directory has a PR of 0 and an Alexa Rating of 2,147,284. In fact, your article directory is still in it’s infancy with only 8 backlinks as per Yahoo site explorer.

    The current cut-off is a minimum of PR3 or minimum of Alexa Rating of 56,013 or both.

    Secondly, it is apparent the article directory is yours (your web address reveals that) and it is no offence here for you to present your article directory for listing if it qualifies, so i am surprised you seem to be hiding that fact by saying “I found this site…”

    Yes, it is advisable to submit your articles first to Ezinearticles and then to the rest after approval by Ezinearticles, so as not to jeopardize approval at Ezinearticles.

    If you choose to have the same article or a spinned version on your blog, i however advise you publish this on your blog first before submission to Ezinearticles so that you are established as the authority for the article.

    Some say Ezinearticles will not approve your article if already on your blog but i find out from personal experience that all my articles pre-published on my blog before submission to Ezinearticles were subsequently approved by Ezinearticles. They however do delay approval to see how extensively you will publish the articles elsewhere within the time frame of their approval process.

    It is only Buzzle that i find is so difficult and will not approve articles pre-published anywhere else, including your blog.

    Hope this helps.

    Starting up this Top Article Directories list, some things were “a given”. I had to maintain a static figure of 165 top article directories list since that is best rather than a fluctuating no. of top article directories. Given that, i next pre-determined a starting figure of about 140 top article directories to qualify whose alexa rating was highest and definitely greater than 100,000 (then), now (62768), irrespective of what their PageRank was. The balance slots of about 25 was reserved for the highest ranking top article directories but with certainly no less than a PR of 3.

    The answer to your question thus is that having pre-determined the figure of about 25 slots at start-up for qualification solely on PR basis, no matter what the alexa rating was, one found out that by the time you listed the top ranking sites, the available slots was filled by the time one came down to PR3 top article directories.

    A much larger allocation was given to those qualifying solely on alexa rating as no doubt a far superior purpose of placing your articles in any article directory is for it to get read by the direct traffic of that top article directory which is represented here by the alexa rating.

    Don’t forget however that slots are available to many top article directories on the basis of a mixture of both alexa rating and PR.

    As already explained in the post, this is just for start up and though i try to maintain the existing balance between those who gain entry solely on alexa rating and PR basis, otherwise, it is a very dynamic situation where it is likely that as one discovers more higher ranking and higher trafficked top article directories, the requirement is likely to continue to rise for both alexa rating and PageRank.

    As the competition is becoming stiffer, the rules as stated at the outset is also getting tougher.

    Now, to qualify for inclusion in the 165 top article directories list, the minimum Alexa Rating for article directories on the list solely by virtue of their Alexa Rating, is 62768.

    The minimum Google Page Rank still remains 3 for those article directories in the list solely by virtue of their Google Page Rank.

    Nevertheless, nice to hear from you and glad you are demonstrating the transparency of the system. No need to know the moderator such that he can influence your positioning. It is out of his hands.

    I checked and saw your Alexa rating has moved from 53500 to 41683 and the necessary adjustment to that effect has been made as you can see.

    Meanwhile, lets hope that on the next Google PageRank update, your article directory moves to a minimum of 3 and/or your Alexa Rating continues to improve, as you are currently in the list on the strength of your Alexa Rating.

    As more and more article directories are discovered to possess a superior Alexa rating to those of the article directories currently on the list, the rules will become tighter.

    Anyway, congratulations so far.
