==>Blog Commenting Tips (VIDEO)
We all know that dofollow blog commenting is a great way of getting backlinks pointing to your website, which in turn ultimately boosts your website’s page rank and indeed improves your keyword ranking.
We all also know how difficult it can be to identify high pagerank dofollow blogs for blog commenting. It therefore stands to reason that once identified, you should take all necessary steps to ensure your blog commenting achieves result by your comments being approved.
How do you increase the chances of your blog comments being approved? By taking the following steps:
- Read all or scan a reasonable portion of the blog post you intend to comment on so that you are abreast with the contents and so you are able to make a reasonable blog comment.
- Identify and target blogs whose content theme you are reasonably comfortable with and in respect of which you possess some knowledge and experience as a basis for making a reasonable comment.
- Your comment must be directly related to the post you are trying to comment on and refer to or reply directly to the content of the post. This will make the webmaster know that you have actually read his post. As a result, general comments such as “Great post, will visit your site again”, “This subject is very interesting and you have explained it thoroughly” etc are indicative of spam comments and any experienced webmaster will immediately trash such comments.
- Insert your actual first name in the name space as most webmasters do not like approving comments with only keywords inserted into the name field. To get SEO benefits, you can go ahead and use the keyword luv plugin so that your name can be inserted as “name @ keyword” or use a format such as “name | keyword” in the name field.
- For some blogs, there is a space restriction for the name field and if you intend to gain SEO advantages here, you must pick either your main keyword (which is likely to be very short) alone, if that particular website allows such or you are restricted to using your first name alone but of course with backlink pointing to your website.
- Search for dofollow blogs that were recently commented on. This considerably increases the chances of your blog comment being approved as some blogs are either no longer functioning or comments are closed on some old posts or the webmaster may not be inclined to accept new comments on these old posts.
- Search for posts that are just published. This is similar to the above but not exactly so in that here, reference is to more or less real time posts which is best gotten through setting google alerts. As these posts are fresh, the webmaster is likely to be inclined to approving fairly well written comments unlike later on when comments on the blog post may have become saturated.
- Search for blogs that use the “comment luv”, “keyword luv”, “top commenters” wordpress plugins. These blogs more than others are more comment friendly and your comments therefore have a greater chance of being approved.
- For some blogs, you should not link to an unduly long url such that occurs with some inner pages. This is because some blogs regard such links as spam.
- Do not make more than one comment on a particular blog per day. This is because some webmasters regard an attempt to do otherwise as an attempt to spam their blog with comments.
- Do not insert your url or otherwise link to your blog post or site, within your comment as most webmasters will look at this as an attempt to spam. The only exception is when the site uses the comment luv plugin when your last blog post or other defined post is automatically linked to, within the comments.
Reserve your url or anchor text links(with keyword luv plugin) for the space provided i.e. Name and Website fields
- Use a true picture of yourself as your avatar i.e. get a gravatar. Most webmasters and indeed most sites generally look more favourably on a commenter who reflects his actual picture and regard such comments as more credible. He is thought not to have anything to hide unlike most commenters who hide behind “masks”.
- Before making your comment, compliment the effort of the webmaster on the usefulness of the post. We are all human and a little massaging of ego does help to get your comment approved. Do not stop here however but go on to now make a direct comment on some particular aspect of the post, otherwise, stopping at merely massaging the webmaster’s ego will be regarded as spam by most webmasters.
- Where you can make reference to another blog post, article or news item to buttress your comment, by all means please do, as you come out as highly informed this way and increase your chances of being favourably looked upon by the webmaster.
- Your website should portray seriousness which can be depicted by good number of backlinks, fair PR level, reasonable volume of posts on your own blog etc as most webmasters first take a look at your blog/website via your link before approving your comment.
- Search for blogs that have a good history of approving reasonably well written comments which you can deduce from previous comments on the blog as some webmasters are just difficult and unfriendly and no matter what you do, will not approve comments from those they do not know.

This is a very great information and guidelines in creating a blog comments. Most blog comments today will be examined first by an author and if fount not related to the post will be disapproved. So this post really helps a lot on how to be approved by the site owner.
@Flora Rouse,
Hi Flora,
The name | keyword approach actually gets both your name and keyword hyper-linked to your indicated website. You should however be more desirous about your keyword being hyper-linked and if in order to get this done, you also have to have your name hyper-linked, so be it.
This approach is actually utilized by a few webmasters to get multiple keywords to feature prominently in their posts and so rank highly in the SERP’s for all these keywords simultaneously, by having these multiple keywords expressed in this format in their blog post titles. You probably may have noticed this in the search engine result pages(SERP’s)

Your tips are right on the mark. I experienced the same and already have been using most of the strategies you’ve recommended. I haven’t known about the name | keyword system. Will that ensure that only the keywords get hyperlinked? I am looking forward to your answer, because there are many blogs which neither allow keywords only in the name nor anchors in the comment, and it makes it useless to comment in that case if the person wants to generate a backlink to their site. Thanks for sharing and helping us!
@Jhon Timy,
Hi Jhon,
Thank you for your comment and welcome to Profitable Business Ideas Blog
Really very nice article I also use to find on google by commentluv or keywordluv plugin, although some of the point must be consider as discussed in comments.
Hi,
I really do not know as i don’t bother myself with such blogs. They obviously will be low quality and what you think you gain now, you will loose later in view of the blog eventually closing down, deleting most comments or changing to “nofollow”

@Egil,
You are welcome Egil and glad to have been of help.
At least it should be obvious now that your comments actually do get through.
Take care!
Dele,
I really appreciate your efforts helping me. And it is difficult not to agree with what you are saying.
Only I have to polish my skill of describing problems. If those are Warriors who misunderstand me, what am I to expect from anyone else? I really have to give myself a bad mark
I was actually not complaining of not being approved.
I was complaining of not being approved where everyone else gets approved, even on the most liberal, endlessly tolerant, blogs. Some of them flooded with spam comments, thousands before my attempt to comment and thousands after. Only my poor comment does not get in.
Don’t get me wrong. In the real life, I am not going to do any commenting on this type of blog. I just used a couple of them for experiment when I saw that normal nice sites that accept other people’s comments do not accept mine.
So I visited a few that obviously do not take any measures against spam at all. It was August 8. I made sure that there were loads of comments from August 7, August 6… They all were irrelevant, many of them unethical. With all that, I made an attempt to post a comment with my real name there, and, on the next day, with keyword name. None of them appeared in that blog.
I could just continue watching all kind of spam coming in there ever after.
So my real question was, what could be the possible reason that I cannot comment on pages where everyone else comments freely all around.
By the way, I added even a url of one such over-spammed .edu blog as an example. That was one of the blogs I tried to comment on on August 8 as Egil.
I will be trying to do the same via proxy some day and see if that gives a different result.
But thank you again for paying attention. I learned from you a lot of useful things even if they were not directly targeting my problem.
@Egil,
Hi Egil,
This is at least a testimony to the fact that your comment is sticking.
If the non-approval of your blog comments is not due to any of the reasons above nor to the fact that your country or ISP is blocked by those blogs you attempt posting comments to as indicated on the warrior forum, then it can be that you are posting comments to low quality blogs which have either been abandoned or scarcely updated.
As to the strictness of this post, i have naturally included all that is required to ensure your comment receives “automatic approval” as the title indicates. You do not have to do all, to get approval though. It just increases the chances.
Hi Dele,
Thank you for giving me the link to this article. Very strict article, I must say. I find though that most webmasters, even on high PR sites, are much more liberal.
As to my problem with comments not being accepted in most places, it is scarcely rooted in any of these points. I am rather inclined to agree with some warriors who suggested that some system might be blocking my country or ISP. That sounds the most likely cause.
I think I will get a proxy some day and try again that way.
Ok, let’s see if my comment sticks here
@Edd,
Thanks so much Edd for your comment.
Were all, or at least a significant percentage, to practice the content of this article, what a great web we will all have and we will all be the better for it too.
Take care!
Hi Dele
This article is really informative and helpful for people trying to get their websites and blogs healthier in terms of page rank. I think spammers must practice this, as they must themselves be getting bored of putting comments like “Nice post”, “Thanks for the great post” and so on.
Thank you Mark Lee.
You are welcome!
It is a very informative and useful post thanks it is good material to read this post increases my knowledge.

Hi all, some really good ideas and tips on this site. I have enjoyed reading the comments and found the whole site very interesting indeed! Many thanks, Anthony
Thank you for your comment.
However, you have not followed the tips in the post as one of them is that you try and comment on or make reference to something in the post so that the webmaster knows you have actually read the post.
It is a major thing i always look out for in classifying comments into spam or for approval. Anyway, in the spirit of christmas, i’ll approve this one.
Kind regards this christmas season
