This post originally started out as a reply to a prospect’s question on Stone Evans and the Plug In Profit Site (PIPS) but along the line, i expanded the answer to incorporate an identification of and comparison of the credible internet marketing training programs.
Stone Evans is certainly legit and not scam. I have been a member of the Plug In Profit Site (PIPS) since 2006 and he is in fact one of the pioneers of home business training. Many successful internet marketers including Ewen Chia (No. 1 affiliate marketer) passed through his program.
The Plug In Profit Site (PIPS) program has many features and benefits as enunciated in

Having said that, it does not imply his training program is the best, as a major defect is that he sparingly gets overtly involved in his program.

There is a second group i also mentioned in the review comprising some of those who passed through his training program and are now full time internet marketers and who formed a training program (Affiliate Power Group).
The advantage in theirs is that one gets to learn faster as they are personally involved and they are quite knowledgeable too. Actually, the staff members were a year or two ahead of me in the Plug In Profit Site (PIPS) program.

FREE DOWNLOADNow, comparing the two “schools” above, you can pass through Stone Evans’ program with very little investment if you are guided as it should be, not to invest in any program or adverts except the minimum requirement of web hosting with hostgator.
This, for the 1st month can be gotten with coupon code for $1 and subsequently costs about $8 if you will be paying monthly and as low as $3.95 if you will be paying one-year in advance. You can still make some income by referring prospects to the Plug In Profit Site (PIPS) program and hence hostgator.
This approach however can only be temporary while you acquire the needed internet marketing knowledge as you can not earn significantly that way.
After a while, and with some knowledge acquired, you can proceed to upgrade the getresponse autoresponder which you would have been using FREE from commencement of the Stone Evans Plug In Profit Site Program, as part of the package, as long as you are within the 100 subscribers limit.
The upgrade will push the cost to start at about $9.95 monthly for not more than 250 subscribers and scaled upwards depending on the number of subscribers you attain.
You can also gradually proceed to add income programs/business opportunities as you acquire internet marketing knowledge and at your pace. Paying for adverts etc can also gradually come in as you begin to make money. This ultimately is necessary as “money begets money” and one will just be fooling himself to think you will never spend, though you hope to reap.
What is paramount is wise spending that will produce returns. Also, there is a trade off between time and money and the more you spend(wisely though), the less time/effort you may need to put in to see success and vice versa.
In short, with Stone Evans’ program, you can get by with very little investment.

Some people join the Plug In Profit Site first and proceed to join the Affiliate Power Group soon after. You get the best of both worlds that way.
Having said the above, if i will be honest, internet marketing is quite difficult unlike the impression many create, but not insurmountable. But one needs to get some internet marketing training through either these or other avenues, to succeed. Again, it takes a lot of time both to acquire the needed skills and to succeed.

Some people may tell you they make money online without any formal training but i tell you their returns will at best be haphazard. Also, what they lack in knowledge will not be appreciated, given their ignorance.
They end up being half-baked internet marketers whose success is dependent upon a particular system and once that system is extinct for one reason or the other, their online existence also falls into jeopardy.
They are most unlike the thoroughly trained internet marketer who can adapt to any situation, only calling to play his acquired knowledge of the underlying principles of internet marketing, whenever changing situations demand.

However, Chris Farrell’s experience and knowledge will naturally be limited by the length of time of his involvement in internet marketing which is quite recent (2008) relatively, when compared to 5 mentors of the Affiliate Power Group combined, with more experience, given the time of their incursion into internet marketing, not to mention Stone Evans who has been making impact since the very early 2000′s
On the other hand, it can be argued that it is not how long that matters but how well.
