We all know that blog commenting is one way by which we can get backlinks pointing to our web pages/sites and thereby rank higher on the search engine result pages (SERPs). It will also help improve PageRank of our web pages.
There are many approaches to going about getting these backlinks through blog commenting.
An approach i recommend and which i highlighted in the blog post
==> DoFollow Blog Commenting Tips
is to identify keywordluv and comment luv sites and comment on these blogs.
They are
- usually comment-friendly
- most are dofollow too
- You get to be credited with 2 backlinks per comment for commentluv sites
This is because apart from the usual backlink associated with the “Name” field, there is also a bonus backlink at the bottom of your comment pointing to your most recent blog post.
This pre-supposes that your site is also registered as a commentluv enabled site.
In this blog post, i am more particular about the commentluv sites and have provided below 3 resources where you can get these commentluv enabled sites and comment away. But remember, no spamming. Read the posts and comment reasonably.
==> CommentLuv Enabled Blog List
With the third resource, you have to be a subscriber to the list of Andy Bailey, the originator of CommentLuv. You will then be able to access the “Comment Luv Enabled Blog Search” where you can on a real-time basis identify sites that are commentluv enabled, using your desired keywords/keyword phrases.
You can simply go to the web page below and subscribe to gain access

@Gerald Martin,
Hi Gerald,
Very true indeed. You also have a number of comment luv sites that have nofollow status.
Thanks.
Yes, do-follow links can really help you a lot in terms of ranking, but you have to consider posting on those blogs with no-follow links as well. Blog commenting is supposed to be done in such a way that your goal is to connect with other people; not just leaving links behind.
@Adam,
Hi Adam,
Glad to see you back at my site.
I agree completely with you that getting backlinks through blog commenting is quite productive.
One major advantage to it that i cherish is that with the aid of available software such as scrapebox, you can identify high pr dofollow posts/sites and place your comments on these, for direct link juice. With other forms of backlinks such as article marketing, you will at best be getting indirect link juice from the homepages of the article directories, since your article is most likely to be placed on a PR 0 page.
Take care and thanks for your comment.
Hi Dele,
Blog commenting is a 2 edged sword, it is potentially one of the most boring parts of building back links, particularly on some sites where the content is… well lets just say lacking some what.
How ever it is also in my opinion one of the most under utilised tools that is available to us in the search of more backlinks, this is particularly true with new internet marketers. In my experience many people new to the business are reluctant to post a comment as they think they are providing free content to the site owner.
Truth is though, for the few minutes it takes to read an article and then put a relevant comment together, it is very little work that is required to achieve a back link, which at the end of the day will be more beneficial to the website then the few lines of content you post in your comment.
Thanks for the links to the comment luv blogs, looks like I will be busy with them for awhile.
@Kyle,
Hi Kyle,
You are very right. How very frustrating it can be after a tedious search of regular blogs, to now find “nofollow” codes.
However, a few commentluv blogs also carry “nofollow” codes, as the webmaster can switch off the link juice where it pleases him to do so. They are however the exception rather than the rule.
Thanks for your comment and have a nice day.
Hi Dele,
Couldn’t agree more on sifting through blogs with “CommentLuv” badges. It basically cuts down tedious searches for regular blogs, only to find “nofollow” codes in the comments.
@Drupal Development Company,
You are welcome!
Thank you Dele for your shared useful ideas. I have agreed with your discussion about commentLuv. From now on I will find more commentLuv blogs and leave my comments on it. You provided me a good suggestion. Keep up the good work.
@Melanie,
Hi Melanie,
You are right. The volume and quality of conversations on comment luv sites end up being better but the moderation has to be thorough too since it is a great lure to spammers.
Thanks for your view.
Nice resource. Commentluv enabled blogs are great, and not just for linkbuilding. Most sites with the component enabled are more active and have better conversations taking place.
Great tips, it’s true that most commentluv are do follow blogs.
